Max Midwinter to replace Riley McGillivray in Australian ISDE team
Max Midwinter will replace the injured Riley McGillivray in Australia’s Junior World Trophy team at the 2026 FIM International Six Days Enduro (ISDE) in Portugal from October 12-17.
Complications from a recently broken femur have forced McGillivray to withdraw, with 20-year-old South Australian Midwinter to fill his spot in the Junior World Trophy alongside William Dennett and fellow ISDE rookie Kogan Lock.
Midwinter is enjoying an exceptional season in the 2026 Yamaha Australian Enduro Championship presented by MXstore (AusEnduro), running second in the E3 category behind fellow KTM rider Korey McMahon. He’s also seventh in the ‘best of the best’ Pro Enduro class, making up two spots at the latest AusEnduro rounds in Casterton (Vic) on June 20-21.
In 2025, Midwinter finished fifth in the E2 class and 17th in ProEnduro.
“From the beginning of racing a dream of mine was to represent Australia on the world stage:” said Midwinter. “Now that it’s a reality I’m over the moon with excitement and ready to put my best foot forward and see what we can achieve.”
Team Australia’s 2026 ISDE campaign will again receive backing from online retailer, MXstore. Established in 2010, MXstore carries Australia’s largest range of riding gear, aftermarket dirt bike parts and accessories.
