Solid day two for Team Australia at 2026 FIM International Six Days Enduro
In brutally dusty conditions, the MXstore Australia team has continued to hang tough in the 2026 FIM International Six Days Enduro (ISDE) in Portugal ahead of a change of scenery on day three.
After two days of competition where regular air filter changes became the norm, Australia’s Women’s World Trophy team (Yamaha trio Danielle McDonald, Madi Simpson and Jess Gardiner) remains in second position behind the United States of America, although the gap between the two powerhouses has widened to nearly four minutes.
Meanwhile, following the withdrawal of Korey McMahon (KTM) on day one with a mechanical gremlin, the motivation of the remaining World Trophy riders (Kyron Bacon, Josh Strang and Gus Riordan) remains steadfast despite being out of outright contention.
Defending champion Italy, France and Sweden are the top three in the World Trophy after two days, while in the Junior World Trophy it’s France at the top from Italy, the United States of America, Spain, the Czech Republic and Australia (Kogan Lock, Will Dennett and Max Midwinter).

Kyron Bacon in tyre-changing mode
After bruising crashes for Dennett (Triumph) and Midwinter (Husqvarna) – who ended up in a tree! – Australia dropped down a spot in the Junior World Trophy rankings, but will be looking to place renewed pressure on the Czech Republic on day three as riders embark on a new course that promises more sand and less unsociable bulldust.
Lock (GASGAS) has been the Team Australia rookie revelation, and currently sits 17th overall in the E2 class against seasoned world enduro opposition.
That equates to 44th overall for the Victorian teenager, with only Bacon (Kawasaki, 23rd), Riordan (Honda, 27th) and Strang (Beta, 43rd) ahead of him.

Kogan Lock has been a revelation in his first ISDE
Italian Andrea Verona (KTM) leads the ISDE overall, 27 seconds in front of fellow heavy-hitter Josep Garcia (KTM), while Frenchman Zachary Pichon (TM) sits in third and ready to pounce if his regular EnduroGP opposition stumbles.
In the Women’s World Trophy rankings, McDonald, Simpson and Gardiner are in positions 3-5 – McDonald smarting after a penalty on day two for arriving at a checkpoint just two seconds late following a tyre change.
In the Club battle, Dandenong Motorcycle Club’s No. 2 team of Scott Noble, Marley Camp and Billy McCulloch put the hammer down on day two, moving up four spots to 11th overall.
