Tintinara AusEnduro Championship wrap: EV, EM, J2-J4 and JG

Rounds five and six of the 2025 Yamaha Australia Enduro Championship presented by MXstore (AusEnduro) in Tintinara (SA) on May 31-June 1 was anything but a walk in the park, as dusty conditions demanded peak concentration and made it difficult for riders to maintain momentum.

Here’s the Pro Enduro, E1-E3, EW and EJ wrap from Tintinara, so now let’s take a look at how things fared in the other championship classes.

EV (Veterans)
Mark Cook (KTM) is now the third rider to assume leadership of the EV class in 2025, with his 3-1 results in Tintinara – and the absence of previous leader Ben Scott (Husqvarna) – enough to put him at the top. And by a considerable margin, too, with the New South Welshman now on 112pts ahead of Scott (71) and Luke Stafrace (Sherco, 56).

On Saturday, Tom Rendell (KTM) became the fourth separate round winner in 20254, and on Sunday it was Cook.

Nathan Rewell (Rieju, 2-2) was also impressive in the South Australian bush.

EM (Masters)
Rowan Pumpa (Husqvarna) hammered his opposition on both days to extend his lead in the championship, replicating Damien Smith’s clean sweep of the opening weekend in Kempsey.

In the Tintinara cross country, he was the only rider to extend into a fifth lap within the allotted time, and in the sprints he was just as clinical in winning by five-and-a-half minutes.

Danny Lucas (Husqvarna) and Tim Vandenberg (KTM) were second and third in round five, with the latter improving a position in round six as Peter Schaper (Husqvarna) completed the podium.

Pumpa is now a runaway leader on 135pts, from Lucas and Schaper deadlocked on 86.

J2
Cooper Parkes (KTM) and Ollie Paech (GASGAS) split the wins and second places in Tintinara, while Jack Travis Kearney (KTM) and Riley Mullin were third on Saturday and Sunday respectively.

With former co-leader Drake Hutton (Yamaha) falling short of a podium, Parkes now leads the E2 championship by 9pts (129 to 120) over Paech. Then it’s Hutton (116pts) and Kearney (114).

J3
Nate Munro (Kawasaki) went into Tintinara as the only undefeated rider in the 2025 AusEnduro Championship classes, and he held onto that halo with a resounding victory in the cross country over closest rival Levi Rossi (KTM).

However, on Sunday Rossi was the sprint guru, blasting his way to victory to finish the halfway mark of the championship in fine style.

Munro was able to minimise the damage in second place, and actually extend his lead in the standings to 24pts (147 to 123) – with Rossi taking over second from Blake Brown (KTM).

Brown, who went 3-4 in Tintinara, is in third on 120pts from Jet Avard (KTM, 99) and Harley Hutton (Yamaha, 96), who bounced back from a DNF on Saturday to finish third on Sunday.

J4
Harry Gilbertson (KTM) started building nicely in rounds three and four, and in Tintinara he took it to the next level with victory on both days to really put the heat on major rivals Marcus Nowland (Yamaha, 3-3) and Kai Auston (GASGAS, 2-2).

Nowland still leads from the ultra-consistent Austin and Gilbertson, with the gap between the trio now just 5pts after six of 12 rounds. The scene is now set for a sizzling second half of the season.

JG
The battle of the Junior Girls saw Lilly Sexton (Husqvarna) make an instant impact in her first AusEnduro appearance in 2025, easily accounting for her opposition in the cross country – the only rider to complete five laps – and then finishing second behind championship leader Lorna Lock (Yamaha) in the sprints.

Jesse Harris (KTM) went 3-3, while it was a torrid weekend for Olivia Johnson (Husqvarna) who didn’t score any points.

Lock is now on 142pts out of a possible 150 after six rounds, ahead of Harris (118), Johnson (89) and Sexton (47).
