Kyogle AusEnduro Championship wrap: EV, EM, J2-J4 and JG
Rounds nine and ten of the 2025 Yamaha Australia Enduro Championship presented by MXstore (AusEnduro) in Kyogle (NSW) on September 13th and 14th was a change to recent rounds. Dry, steep hills, tight and technical conditions put each rider to the test mentally and physically.
We’ve already taken stock of the Pro Enduro, E1-EJ, EW and EJ classes, so let’s review the other championship classes.
EV (Veterans)
Making his first appearance in the 2025 championship, John Day was on a mission to impress. Coming to grips with the tricky lay outs, Day scored a perfect weekend, two wins across two rounds of Sprint racing, 50 points in the championship
Joshua Ballard making his second appearance in the series landed a 3-2 scores on the weekend, elevating himself to 8th overall in the standings
Dale Schmitke found himself battling with Ballard as they worked through their day earning a 2-4 in the sprints of Kyogle, moving himself to third (90) in standings at the completion of the weekend
Class leader Mark Cook was only able to go 6-6 but still maintains a 48 point lead in the standings on 180, while Ben Scott (132) remains in second after 8-8 scores.

EM (Masters)
Rowan Pumpa (Husqvarna) again put on a master class collecting a 1-1 score, making that seven round wins in a row and extending his lead on 235 points, a lead that can not be challenged.
Second across both days was James Burgess (84) who was able to keep Pumpa honest in round 9, finishing only 42 seconds behind at the end of day, however did not have the speed to match on Sunday, fourth in the standings
Rusty Dewez in his first rounds for the year managed to put on a stellar performance earning a 3-3 score, holding off a charge from Danny Lucas(162) in round 9 and Jason Hubbard (79) in round 10

J2
Cooper Parkes (KTM) continues his winning streak, adding another two round wins to his total for 2025. Parkes lead 229 has now extended out to 33 points over Ollie Peach (Gas Gas) who lost his run of podiums, scoring 5-4 across the weekend.
New comer to the series Cooper Clarke earned himself a satisfying second overall with a 2-2 score.
Jack Travis-Kearney, currently third in the standings on 190 also scored a 3-3 over the weekend, closing down six points on second place Ollie Peach (198)

J3
Nate Munro again found himself on top at Kyogle for Saturdays sprint and third on Sunday. His lead grown to 239, 43 points clear of second.
Mirroring Munro’s score was Harley Hutton with 3-1. This result has elevated him to fourth in the standings on 177, tied with Jett Avard in fifth
Second in the standings on 198 is Levi Ross who could only put together a 4-6 result, dropping back from the leader and now in a battle with Blake Brown on 194 who went 2-2 in Kyogle

The championship battle will go down to the last two rounds for J4, neither rider in the top two were able to get the advantage at Kyogle. Marcus Nowland can went 2-1 while Kai Austin went 1-2 for equal points in Kyogle, 227 vs 217, 10 points difference to be decided at Gympie.
Landing own the final podium step this week was Riley Howell 185) with a 3-3, edging slightly closer to Harry Gilbertson (209) currently third in the standings who scored 4-5 on the weekend.

It was a good weekend for the Locks, Lorna Lock following in her brothers footsteps, grabbing the double victory and extend her championship lead out to 46 (234).
Maintaining her run of never being off the podium in the races she has entered, Lilly Sexton (136) added another two second place finishes to her tally and continues to sit fourth in the standings.
Rounding out the Podium in Kyogle, another familiar name, Olivia Johnson (176) with a 3-3 score has closed in another 6 points in the standings to Jessie Harris (188) after her 5-4 result on the weekend

AusEnduro now heads to Gympie (QLD) on October 11-12 for the final rounds 11 and 12.
