Motorcycling Australia’s Women’s World Trophy team moved back into second spot on day four of the 2025 FIM International Six Days Enduro (ISDE) in Bergamo, Italy on August 27.

With Danielle McDonald (Yamaha) again leading the way, Australia displaced France with two days remaining as the United States extended its lead to over 30 minutes.

However, an extreme rainfall warning issued for day five in Bergamo has the potential to turn the ISDE on its head, with McDonald, Jess Gardiner (Yamaha) – riding in a remarkable 13th ISDE – and Madison Healey (KTM) ready to pounce if the American campaign falters.

In the Junior World Trophy, Kyron Bacon (Kawasaki), Korey McMahon (KTM) and Gus Riordan (KTM) have slipped to third position behind Italy and France – but only 1:53 separates all three nations – and in the World Trophy Daniel Milner (KTM), Jonte Reynders (KTM), Josh Strang (Beta) and Jye Dickson (Beta) remain in sixth position while keeping Spain (fourth) and the United States (fifth) in their sights.

The biggest change in the World Trophy running order on day four was Sweden overhauling France for second position as Italy continues to run away with proceedings.

In the Club section, Dungog Motorcycle Club is 106th ahead of Dandenong Motorcycle Club (120th) and Oyster Bay Motorcycle Club (133rd).

Bacon was the leading Aussie in the individual battle on day four, finishing top 10 in five of the seven special tests for seventh overall. Strang and Milner were 18th and 19th.

At the front, Josep Garcia’s winning streak on his KTM was snapped by Italian rival Andrea Verona (GASGAS), although Garcia was riding under discomfort after injuring to his right hand on the second special test.

Garcia still leads the overall, 34 seconds ahead of Verona, followed by Samuele Bernardini (Honda), Mikael Persson (Triumph) and Morgan Lesiardo (Triumph).

Bacon is ninth overall (and third in the E2 class), ahead of Milner in 14th and Strang in 17th.

“After struggling a bit on the slick grass tracks on day three, with a few too many crashes, day four was a lot smoother,” said Bacon. “I kept my Kawasaki off the ground and rode consistently all day and I’m pumped to finish the day seventh overall.”

The same loop – and the end of trails ahead of the traditional motocross test on day six – will be used on day five, but conditions are expected to be extreme thanks to the huge rain band.
